EBI DUO was founded by cellist Anna Taddeo and pianist Stefano Petrocco and has been performing together for over five years. The ensemble grew out of a long-standing friendship, forming the foundation for a lively and intuitive musical dialogue.
Both musicians began their education at the conservatory in Pescara.Anna continued her studies in Zurich, focusing on instrumental pedagogy, and now teaches at the Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich, performing across Europe, Asia, and Brazil.Stefano specialized in piano performance, chamber music, and vocal coaching in Vienna. He worked as a guest répétiteur at the Vienna State Opera, leads the music department of the Children’s Opera at the Stadttheater Baden in Baden bei Wien, and teaches at the Private Music School in Gießhübl.Their artistic interaction combines individual experiences into fresh interpretations of repertoire ranging from classical works to contemporary music, with a special focus on Italian composers. The duo receives important inspiration from the musical encounters with Roswitha Heintze and has been a welcomed guest at concert series and international festivals.
